Daily beauty routine
Step 1
Oil-based cleansers (oils or balms) are the first step of the double cleansing routine suggested by the famous Korean skincare routine. Believe it or not, oils can act as a powerful cleansing agent. They disperse makeup, excessive sebum, dirt and sunscreen residues that are often difficult to dissolve.
Step 2
The water-based cleaner in gel or foam form is the second step of the double cleaning process. Choose a gentle, moisturizing and low pH cleanser, which in combination with the previous step will deeply cleanse your skin and prepare it for the rest of your routine.
Step 3
If you want healthy, glowing skin, be sure to incorporate exfoliation (natural or chemical) into your skincare routine. Exfoliating 1-2 times a week can help to remove dead skin cells, cell renewal and restore the scars caused by acne. In addition, it activates blood circulation, leaving the skin smooth and luminous.
Step 4
After cleansing and exfoliation, the skin needs balancing, soothing and moisturizing. Treat your skin with a toner that will restore the pH level and allow other products to absorb more easily.
Step 5
This is actually one of the most important steps of the Korean skincare routine. It calms and heals your skin while providing extra hydration and radiance. Think of it like a serum, but more diluted and watery for easier absorption! Usually this moisturizing concentrate contains complexes of plant antioxidant extracts that nourish and strengthen the skin barrier.
Step 6
Whatever the skin problem you are concerned about, there are suitable serums with powerful active ingredients to treat it, always according to the needs of your skin. Whether targeting dull skin, large pores, pigmentation, wrinkles, redness or acne, these concentrated formulas are the perfect step to perfecting your skin.
Step 7
Beauty masks are a central element of the Korean skincare routine. As the substances are impregnated into the fabric that touches your face, the product is prevented from evaporating and nutrients are allowed to enter your skin. Depending on your skin’s needs, apply a mask 2-3 times a week for a feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation.
Step 8
The area under and around the eyes is the first area of the face to show the first signs of aging, as the skin is thinner and more delicate. By giving it the necessary care with a cream or eye patches, you will keep away dark circles, puffiness and fine lines for a long time!
Step 9
This is probably the most important step, as it seals all the previous products you have used. Moisturizers come in many forms (gel, cream, mask) and should be applied to the skin after other products such as oils and serums, because they create a hydrophobic film on the skin surface that prevents moisture loss.
Step 10
Sunscreen is an essential step in any skincare routine. The skin needs protection from the sun’s harmful rays all year round, even during the winter months! Applying sunscreen should be the last step, so that it is not altered by other products and protects you against photo-aging and pigmentation.
