Description

Cosrx AHA-BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner is an exfoliating lotion containing a composition of two essential acids, glycolic acid (AHA – Alpha Hydroxy Acid) and salicylic acid (BHA – Beta Hydroxy Acid). Glycolic acid is a natural exfoliating acid derived from fruit that helps to remove dead cells from the skin, while salicylic acid is a fat-soluble acid that helps to cleanse pores and balance oiliness. BHAs are oil-soluble which means that they not only work on the surface of the skin, but they penetrate the deeper layers of the skin and cleanse the pores. This is why BHAs are preferred for people with normal to oily skin. BHAs have natural soothing properties as well as anti-inflammatory/anti-bacterial actions benefiting those prone to redness and rosacea. AHAs can retain moisture, so they are preferred for dry and damaged skin. The combination of these two categories of exfoliation aims to eliminate imperfections while keeping your skin hydrated.

Way of Use

After cleansing the face, spray the product directly onto the face or a cotton pad (such as PYUNKANG YUL 1/3 Cotton Pad) and apply a thin layer onto your skin, focusing on areas with more sebum (such as the T-zone and chin).
Start by using 2-3 times a week and after your skin adjusts it can be used daily.
If you use the product during your morning routine, don’t forget to apply sunscreen as AHAs can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.

*Those with sensitive skin may experience mild irritation. Before use, test the product on a small area of skin to make sure it does not cause any reactions.
*Avoid use with other products containing retinol and vitamin C.
*It is recommended to avoid products with AHA & BHA during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
*Avoid using this product if you have an allergy to aspirin.
